why!!!????!!!!!
why is advanced grammatical theory so tough?!!??!!!???!! どうして?i mean besides the fact that it's ADVANCED grammatical theory!!! and why is verb-particle explorations so tough?! i'd rather go explore some ulu pandan island somewhere in the south pacific. okie. that was freaking lame. but it's 1.41am on a FREAKING COLD night. the wind has been raging on since i woke up. and it's the howling kind of wind. we saw a tree that got uprooted on our way back from dinner just now. even to walk out for food is such a chore! we were like decked out in winter gear man! oh wait i just used one of the verb-particle thingys. it's called idiomatic verb-particle combinations. yay! at least i'm starting to understand the readings... i think i kinda used up my orange highlighter on this reading man, and i almost highlighted everything. which doesn't really help... cos u only highlight main pts... NOT everything.
as i was saying, we were decked out in winter gear when it's JUST autumn. i need to get a better jacket/windbreaker that can keep me sufficiently warm and protect me agst the wind. and i'm going to get a beanie... sucks when the wind blows, and ur hair gets messed up. and u know after u go into some place and try to finger comb ur hair, it's kinda like stuck to together. not the sticky kinda stuck together.. but something abt getting wind blown makes it stick. anyways we had a good dinner.. viet nosh.. literally... had vietnamese beef noodles which tasted "oh so good!" on a cold, windy day! scott and co were there, and he kindly treated lil ol' me to a plate of rice with bbq pork, prawns, lap cheong and a very nicely fried he bao dan! to think i was already semi full from my noodles and spring rolls.. i managed to makan like half the plate! so much for 'cannot lah! i'm too full liao!' hahah thanx scott! junyi and tom were highly entertaining.. telling stories of weird praying mantis and such.. hahahh! and i just devoured a jester's pie. we actually bought 4 for the price of two! heh!
talking abt jester's pie... i highly recommend the william tell (dessert pie), pavarotti (carbonara filling), footy pie (beef & gravy) and perhaps the taj mahal (beef vindaloo). they are mighty nice! i'd reckon only the perth pple might patronise the store if it ever opened a branch in sg cos i don't think that sg pple know how to appreciate such ang moh food. hahahahh! what the hell am i saying? i also dunno.. i don't function in the cold.. just like ja! cept she's faring much worse than me. laughing to herself... laughing at her not funny at all jokes... twirling ard on her chair... and basically sprouting things that generally don't make sense... ah well... the things cold does to u!
